Producenten för det kommande plattformsäventyret Sonic Lost World, Takashi Iizuka, har berättat lite om multiplayerläget i spelet i en intervju med Nintendo World Report. Wii U- och 3DS-versionernas lägen skiljer sig från varandra på flera sätt.
Han berättar:
"On the Wii U, there's both cooperative and versus multiplayer. In cooperative play, Sonic will be using the Wii U GamePad and someone can be supporting Sonic in co-op with the Wii Remote. In versus mode, one player will be playing on the TV screen and the other player will be racing using the GamePad so you don't have to have split screen."
Wii U-versionens multiplayer är endast lokal och strävar efter att vara en "delad-soffa-upplevelse". 3DS-versionens är däremot en racingvariant för fyra spelare online.
Multiplayer är inte det enda som skiljer versionerna åt enligt Iizuka. Medan storyn och det generella temat för nivåerna och spelet i sig är det samma i båda versioner kommer bandesignen vara helt olika.
"There's not a single level in the Wii U and the 3DS that overlap and appear in both games."
Sonic Lost World ska släppas till slutet av året.
