Phil Spencer, mannen bakom rodret till Xbox, är i ropet i helgen (tydligen) och i en intervju med IGN spottar han ur sig att han inte är helt säker på att en regelrätt uppföljare till mycket omtyckta Minecraft är rätt väg att gå, och menar att de i första hand vill checka av punkterna på den önskelista de nuvarande spelarna har:
"I don't know if Minecraft 2, if that's the thing that makes the most sense. The community around Minecraft is as strong as any community out there. We need to meet the needs and the desires of what the community has before we get permission to go off and do something else."
Något han önskar få till är att förena Minecraft emellan alla de plattformar det finns till, så att upplevelsen blir densamma oavsett vilken konsol du spelar på:
"If I'm on PC I get access to the mod servers; if I'm on console or the mobile editions, I don't. We're looking at how do we bring that whole system together a little more. Because there are other games out there that let me move from screen to screen fairly seamlessly."
Sent i somras öppnade Microsoft sin feta plånbok och köpte upp Mojang som snickrat ihop Minecraft. Denna maffiga affär på 2,5 miljarder dollar är ännu inte helt i hamn, men alla papper väntas skrivas på i slutet av året.
