Nya Zelda föregår Ocarina of Time

Zelda-spelen är inte direkt kända för att ha en rak och logisk tidslinje, där de nya delarna i serien följer (eller ens bryr sig om) handlingen i de föregående. I en intervju med Official Nintendo Magazine berättar dock Nintendos Eiji Aonuma att man har full koll på alla spelens placeringar och var kommande The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword hamnar kronologiskt.

"Yes there is a master timeline but its confidential document! The only people to have access to that document are myself, Mr. Miyamoto and the director of the title. We cant share it with anyone else!" berättar Aonuma.

Vi får dock reda på att Skyward Sword på något sätt kommer att vara en prequel till Ocarina of Time.

"Skyward Sword takes place before Ocarina of Time. If I said that a certain title was ‘the first Zelda game', then that means that we cant ever make a title that takes place before that! So for us to add titles to the series, we have to have a way of putting the titles before or after each other."

Om det i Skyward Sword bara handlar om en kort hänvisning till Ocarina of Time, något större eller inget alls återstår att se nästa år.
