När 343 Industries avslöjade att Halo 5: Guardians Forge-läge skulle komma till PC fick vi i princip all information utom releasedatumet. Nu vet vi även det.

Halo 5: Forge kommer som en gratis nedladdning via Windows Store på Windows 10-datorer den 8 september. Det fristående läget kommer ha exklusiva funktioner som stöd för mus och tangentbord och 4K-upplösning. Kartorna skapade i Halo 5: Forge kan göras tillgängliga för andra spelare på PC, i fullspelet på Xbox One och vice versa.

Halo 5: Forge släpps samma dag som Halo 5: Guardians kommande uppdatering Anvil's Legacy kommer till Xbox One. Gratisuppdateringen kommer lägga till nya funktioner i Forge och annat som;

• Content Browser that spans platforms: The Anvil's Legacy content release brings the highly anticipated content browser to Forge mode in Halo 5: Guardians on Xbox One - a new, streamlined way to discover community-created Forge content, with support for custom maps, game modes and Forge Object Groups. Combined with Halo 5: Forge on Windows 10 PC, the new content browser will let users browse, access and enjoy content from both PC and console Forgers, regardless of which system it was originally created on.

• New Arena and Warzone maps: With the addition of "Mercy", a new battleground is open for competitive Arena players, while "Temple" brings the desert environment of Sanghelios to Warzone Assault modes.

• New weapons, REQs, customisation options and more: The update brings several new REQ items including three new weapons, new Sound Dampener attachments, weapon and armour skins, and more.
