"So essentially right now we've shifted the game much more towards a match feel. The game you saw in 2014 was essentially a four player co-op experience. We've kind of taken a step back from that and we've rebooted the franchise to be much more of a multiplayer, PvP side of the game. We felt that that worked better when we play tested it, we added the element of uncertainty when you introduce other players into the mix, and that just worked so much more for the game we wanted to achieve."
<i>"When they actually die in a game, if [...] you and your teammate actually wipe, that character will be gone. You will have to pick a new character, gear them out, buy new weapons and gadgets for them. But on top of that we carry over a little bit of the stuff, so you're not losing everything completely. One of the reasons we're doing this is because we want to really promote a fear of loss in the game and a risk versus reward, which carries back a little bit to the idea that we don't want people running in willy nilly and just shooting up everything. We want people to take things slower, really try to understand the risk of the situation, and go out there and be cautious."
