Den 19 december släpps en expansion kallad Rise of the Rajas till HD-remaken av det 17 år gamla Age of Empires 2. Sedan det fräschades till för tre år sedan har två expansioner lanserats och detta blir alltså den tredje i raden.
Fyra nya civilisationer kommer läggas till, alla med kampanjer som innehåller tal. Dessa är Burmeser, Khmerer, Malaysier och Vietnameser - och dessutom läggs det till nya omgivningar att bedriva krig i. Den artificiella intelligensen utlovas också vara förbättrad och det finns även andra nyheter som bland annat ett åskådarläge. Såhär säger utvecklarna om detta:
