Bland alla de filmer som påstås höra säsongen till så är det få som det debatteras lika vilt om som den klassiska action-rökaren Die Hard. För hur är det egentligen, är det verkligen en julfilm? Om vi ska tro på Willis egna ord från några år sedan så är svaret nej, absolut inte.
"Die Hard is not a Christmas movie! It's a Bruce Willis movie! So, yippee-ki-yay to all you motherf -kers and good night!"
Så löd hans ord under en episod av Comedy Central Roast för fem år sedan, och filmens regissör John McTiernan har tidigare även berört ämnet. Och exakt varför Die Hard kommit att anses som en julfilm, ja det härrör han till dess rötter - It's a Wonderful Life, vars teman filmen lånat friskt från.

And it's the clearest demonstration and criticism of runaway, unregulated cowboy capitalism that's ever been done in an American movie.
