Det är svårt att säga hur framtiden för Marvel Cinematic Universe ser ut, särskilt nu när Jonathan Majors inte längre spelar Kang. Flera skådespelare och producenter har försökt positionera den kommande Thunderbolts-filmen som den friska fläkt de behöver, och nu är produktionen på väg att starta på allvar.
Wyatt Russell spelar John Walker (alias US Agent) i filmen och har tidigare varit mycket öppen med hur denna rulle skiljer sig från den genomsnittliga MCU-produktionen. I en intervju hos The Hollywood Reporter säger han att inspelningen startar i antingen mars eller april:
"I'm so lucky to get to work with the kind of talent that I'm going to work with when Thunderbolts starts up in March or April."
Russell är mycket exalterad över att komma igång och hypar även filmens tämligen fullspäckade rollista:
"I don't know when they're starting yet, but Sebastian Stan is a great friend and you couldn't ask for a better actor. Florence Pugh is one of the best actresses in the world right now, and she's one of my personal favourite actresses in the world. David Harbour. Steven Yeun is one of the better actors in the world right now. You've got all of these people in this movie, and I couldn't feel luckier."
