Det har länge pratats om att Will Smith och Francis Lawrence (som regisserade originalet) arbetat på manuset till I Am Legend 2 och att Lawrence ska regissera efter att han avslutat arbetet med den kommande Hunger Games-prologen, men nu verkar det som om Warner vill leta reda på någon annan som kan slunga sig över projektet med omedelbar verkan, och de verkar jaga Creed II-gubben Steven Caple Jr som nu senast stod bakom Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. Producent Akiva Goldsman har pratat lite med Deadline.
I Am Legend 2 är på gång men du måste glömma slutet då såg i den första filmen.
"Goldsman also revealed at Comic-Con over the weekend that he has also completed a second draft of the script for I Am Legend 2 after meeting with Jordan and Smith. Goldsman also confirmed previous reports that the sequel would pick up after the alternative ending to the original film. In that ending, before Neville sacrifices himself, he realizes that these Darkseekers have an intelligence and community to them, and they spare his life."
