Om ett par månader pensioneras ännu en spinoff i Final Fantasy-serien. Den här gången handlar det inte om ett stort konsolspel, utan om mobilrollspelet Final Fantasy Brave Exvius för Android och Ios, vilket lanserades 2015 och väckte uppmärksamhet i väst när Katy Perry gjorde ett gästinhopp.
Spelet har endast varit aktivt i Japan, och nu meddelar Square Enix att servrarna ska stängas ned den 31 oktober 2025 kl. 12:00. I sitt officiella uttalande skriver företaget:
"【Important notice】.
Thank you very much for always playing『FINAL FANTASY BRAVE EXVIUS』.
We have decided to end the service as of 12:00 on Friday 31 October 2025.
We sincerely thank all of you who have played with us for so long.
Until the end, we will be holding the 'Grand Finale Campaign' as a token of our gratitude, and after the end, although it will be limited to Apple/Google versions, we plan to distribute a Commemorative Edition.
We'll be happy for you to keep enjoying it until the very end."
En högtidlig men stillsam avslutning väntar alltså för ett spel som pågått i över tio år.
Ett spel vi förmodar extremt få av er provat på.
