Batman brukar ju ofta vara något av en dysterkvist, och The Lego Batman Movie var därför en frisk fläkt när den släpptes 2017 och blev följdaktligen en enorm framgång. Will Arnett gjorde en hyllad insats som röstskådespelare, och att döma utifrån en ny Variety-intervju verkar han gärna vilja återvända som Lego Batman:
"I'd love to do more Lego Batman. I love Lord and Miller. Those guys are the best.
That was a really fun time in my life, making those movies — The Lego Movie and Lego Batman — with those guys and Chris McKay. I had some of my bigger laughs with those dudes as we were trying to discover the character. I've talked about it before over the years, but we had a laugh one time in the booth when we were reading this line and coming up with these bits where Chris Miller ended up having to leave the room, and Phil was on his knees. We were freaking dying."
Chris Miller och Phil Lord har just nu fullt upp med att arbeta på Spider-Verse-finalen, samtidigt som de även jobbar med Project Hail Mary (som har Ryan Gosling i huvudrollen), vilken har premiär i mars. Men kanske kan vi, när båda dessa filmer släppts, få se dem återvända till Lego, även om det stundande avtalet mellan Warner och Netflix gör framtiden för serien osäker.
