Bethesda-utvecklare vill att Fallout 5 ska vara ett 600-timmarsspel

Det kanske inte tar så lång tid att slutföra äventyret, men teamet hoppas att du vill dröja kvar i den radioaktiva ödemarken så länge...

Bethesda har stora ambitioner för nästa Fallout, även om det naturligtvis kan vara så att Fallout 5 kan ligga ett decennium bort, detta med tanke på hur lång tid det tagit att få klart Starfield och hur The Elder Scrolls VI fortfarande lyser med sin frånvaro. Nu säger Bethesdas studio design director Emil Pagliarulo i en intervju hos Game Informer att han hoppas spelet ska kunna erbjuda 600 timmar underhållning:

"I would be happy with a game that is as successful as the previous Fallout games that continues to give fans what they love, you know. I would be happy with a game that is as successful as the previous Fallout games that continues to give fans what they love, you know," Pagliarulo told Game Informer in a recent interview.

And to give them a story that they can get into and systems that they love and really just an experience that they play not for 20 hours and not for 100 hours, but an experience they can play for 200, 300, you know, 600 hours, because that's the kind of games we make."

Pagliarulo sa också att han vill se Bethesda utvecklas och inte fastna i det förflutna:

"Like, in the Oblivion remaster that came out, people forget in the original Oblivion, you couldn't sprint. So, of course we're going to add that in the Oblivion remaster. Things like that. The industry moved on, and so, we want to move on with it."

Med det sagt hoppas vi att den gamla Bethesda-charmen fortfarande finns kvar. Det tar definitivt inte 600 timmar, eller ens 100, att klara berättelsen i Fallout 4 eller Skyrim, men fans och spelare har ändå tidigare lagt ner så mycket tid i dessa äventyr. Fallout 5 skulle därför mycket väl kunna bli ett spel vi spelar i 600 timmar, så länge det är lika inbjudande som tidigare Bethesda-satsningar.
