Nyligen hade A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms premiär på HBO Max, men det är inte det enda från Game of Thrones-universumet vi har att se fram emot i år eftersom den tredje säsongen av House of the Dragon också är på väg. Serien har fått lite blandad kritik och en som inte har varit särskilt imponerad är George R.R. Martin - skaparen av hela universumet och författare av bokförlagan.
Han har flera gånger sagt sig vara frustrerad och besviken över hur hans källmaterial behandlats, och i en ny intervju hos The Hollywood Reporter berättar han nu att han knappt har någon kontakt längre med seriens showrunner Ryan Condal:
"It's worse than rocky. It's abysmal.
I hired Ryan. I thought Ryan and I were partners. And we were all through the first season. I would read early drafts of the scripts. I would give notes. He would change some things. It was working really well — I thought."
Det var framför allt efter säsong två som relationen tog en djupdykning och Martin menar att Condal inte lyssnade på honom allt och sket i all feedback:
"Then we got into season two, and he basically stopped listening to me. I would give notes, and nothing would happen. Sometimes he would explain why he wasn't doing it. Other times, he would tell me, 'Oh, OK, yeah, I'll think about that.' It got worse and worse, and I began to get more and more annoyed. Finally, it got to a point where I was told by HBO that I should submit all my notes to them and they would give Ryan our combined notes."
När han fått planerna för säsong tre presenterade för sig, kände han till slut att "This is not my story any longer". Vi vet fortfarande inte när House of the Dragon: Säsong 3 kommer ha premiär, men det väntas bli till sommaren.
