Priserna på komponenter - specifikt minne och nand - fortsätter att skjuta i höjden, och nu varnar Apple-bossen Tim Cook för att man kan tvingas höja priserna rejält framöver.
I en intervju med Wall Street Journal beskrev Cook situationen som ohållbar och menade att de stigande priserna till slut kommer att märkas även för konsumenterna.
"We're doing our best to mitigate the huge increases that are being passed to us, and we've been trying to shield our customers from the increases, but the situation has become unsustainable. I can tell you that beyond the June quarter, we believe memory costs will drive an increasing impact on our business, and we'll continue to evaluate this. And as we've said before, we'll look at a range of options"
Det verkar alltså med andra ord som att Apple-prylarna kommer bli ännu dyrare framöver, och mycket tyder på att det i sådana fall kommer att ske efter juni-kvartalet är över.
