Det vore en underdrift att säga att Grand Theft Auto V sålde bra vid premiären. På bara tre dygn sålde spelet för imponerande 6,5 miljarder kronor. För tidigare rekordhållaren Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 tog det 15 dagar att sälja för lika mycket. Activision verkar nu sugna på att knipa tillbaka rekordet. Till MCV säger Activision-bossen Kevin Flynn:
"Congratulations to the team at Rockstar for their success. We look forward to getting the record back before the next GTA title."
Innan Grand Theft Auto V släpptes så berättade Eric Hirshberg från Activision för CVG att det finns plats för att både Grand Theft Auto V och Call of Duty: Ghosts ska bli stora framgångar i år.
"Obviously, [GTA] is a hugely successful franchise, and I get asked about our big competitors every year. We're always up against iconic titles, and I know people like to tell a clash-of-the-titans story, but I feel there's lots of evidence that there's room for more than one successful game, and indeed more than one successful blockbuster. And if people only have money for a few games, I like our chances that {Call of Duty} will be one of them."
Call of Duty: Ghosts släpps den 5 november till PC, PS3, Xbox 360 oct Wii U, och senare som releasetitel till Playstation 4 och Xbox One.
