Det har varit en hel del snack om upplösning den senaste tiden sedan de uppdagats att många spel till Xbox One körs i lägre upplösning än de gör till Playstation 4. En som inte bryr sig särskilt mycket om det är Microsoft Studios-bossen Phil Spencer som i en intervju med Shacknews säger:
Right now, gamers don't have the games to go play. They can't walk into their local store and play the games. So, it doesn't really surprise me that they're going to focus on the specs that they can. I don't criticize anyone for doing that. In the end, we play the games, not the resolution."
Och när folk får konsolerna, så kommer den så kallade 'resolutiongate' blåsa över, menar han: "In absence of me getting my own Xbox One or PS4 games, I'm going to focus on the meme of the day, which happens to be resolutiongate. But I think it'll blow over as people get to play the games."
Och de som verkligen bryr sig om bra grafik kommer ändå inte att köpa en konsol, menar Spencer: "If you were just looking at screen resolution and framerate, you'd be a PC gamer. Because you can spend $800 on a video card and put it in."
Vad säger Gamereactors läsare om saken, kommer snacket om upplösning dö ut när konsolerna väl släpps, eller är upplösning något som kommer diskuteras 5-10 år framöver?
