Perfect World Companys dotterbolag Perfect Online Holding vill i samarbete med Sumpo Food Holdings köpa upp Warframe-utvecklarna Digital Extremes enligt ett dokument från Sumpo. Detta rapporterar Polygon.
Digital Extremes har tidigare utvecklat bland annat Dark Sector och The Darkness II men är som sagt aktuella med Warframe, ett free-to-play-actionspel till PC, Playstation 4 och Xbox One.
Studions Creative Director Steve Sinclair hade detta att säga om saken på Warframe-forumet: "You may have read something about the business development side of Digital Extremes, and it may have you concerned. For legal reasons, we can't disclose specifics, but if you know the history of Warframe you'd know that we are intent on having Warframe's design remain in the hands of Digital Extremes. Yes, opportunities will arise for us but the game itself is and will remain a labor of love for us."
