Blackwake är ett piratspel fyllt med generöst tilltagna monster, tänkt att släppas till PC och Mac sent 2015 eller möjligen tidigt 2016. Ja, förutsatt att målen nås på Kickstarter-kampanjen då förstås.
Spelet kommer att ha både mer fantasifulla och realistiska scenarion där spelare kan axla rollerna som flottorna från England, Frankrike, Spanien och Holland samt piratarméer - alternativt slåss mot monster istället för mot andra spelare. Utvecklaren Tyler Newton säger:
"Set during the Eighteenth century, the game focuses largely on team strategy and overall cooperation. Organizing a ship broadside, assisting your captain in navigating various weather conditions, or slaying sea monsters with an armada of other players, are only some of the things you can do in Blackwake.
Whether the options are to capture the merchant vessel and set the entire crew on fire, sink the ship from a distance with a powerful broadside, or simply sit down for some tea and crumpets with the enemy, that is entirely up to the players."
