Det var så sent som i december Cloud Imperium Games utannonserade att singleplayerkampanjen till Star Citizen, Squadron 42, skulkle bli en egen speltitel. Nu har de spikat ett datum och separationen sker på det något lyckliga datumet 14 februari - alla hjärtans dag. Såhär säger de i pressreleasen:
"Squadron 42 will be available as either a stand alone game or an optional addon for Star Citizen rather than be included by default. If you want to lock in both games for the lowest possible price, consider pledging before this deadline."
Squadron 42 släpps officiellt senare i år medan Star Citizen byggs ut gradvis för att bli allt mer omfattande.
