Det verkar som om det fortfarande finns hopp för Fable Legends, trots att Microsoft tog det drastiska beslutet genom att stänga ned Lionhead Studios. MCV rapporterat nämligen att en källa har berättat att personalen har blivit tillfrågade om de skulle vilja fortsätta arbeta på projektet som en oberoende spelstudio. Microsoft har inte bekräftat något, men å andra sidan har man inte heller förnekat detta.
"We aren't sharing additional details beyond that we have ceased development on Fable Legends, and are in discussions with employees at Lionhead about our proposed closure of the studio as well."
