På Gamescom fick vi chansen att snacka med Clement Kwong som arbetar med NHL 17. Han berättade lite om nya World Cup-läget:
"International rivalry's a big thing", Kwong said. "The World Cup is going to be a really exciting event that we have for the first time in-game obviously so with all the teams and official rosters and players. You can even play with retired players from the NHL like Pavel Datsyuk so we're really excited about that. We have all the jerseys to show our national pride, so we're excited to see that".
Vi pratade om betan som precis gick av stapeln och vad den har inneburit för spelets vidare utveckling:
"In NHL 16 we did have a beta", he continued, "but it was EA Sports Hockey League focussed. This year we expanded it to Hockey League as well as online versus and Hockey Ultimate Team, so more fans are able to join the beta and get times on in their hands with their favourite modes".
NHL 17 kommer till Playstation 4 och Xbox One den 15 september.
