Härom dagen kunde vi berätta att EA tycktes vara på väg att förlora ensamrätten till Porsche i spelsammanhang, något som lett till att vi mest sett Porschar i Need for Speed och tillägg som Porsche-expansionen till Forza Motorsport 6. Nu har vi på Gamereactor kontaktat Porsche för att få definitivt besked om saken och detta är vad de hade att säga:
"We have enjoyed a long and successful exclusive partnership with EA, EA has two very strong brands with the Need for Speed and the Real Racing franchises, and Porsche cars had many memorable appearances in various games from those franchises over the years. However, the games industry has grown tremendously over the past years, and games as a form of entertainment reach an ever expanding target group. We mutually agreed with EA in good spirit to end our exclusive agreement this year, while continuing a premium partnership going forward for EA racing games".
Räkna alltså med betydligt fler Porschar i serier som Project Cars, Gran Turismo och såklart Forza Motorsport framledes, även om det verkar som att EA fortfarande har något slags specialuppgörelse kvar.
