Efter ett inlägg på Battle.net-forumet om huruvida Blizzard skulle visa något nytt till Overwatch på E3, bestämde sig game director Jeff Kaplan för att direkt dementera innan spekulationerna tog fart. Han skriver:
"While we totally appreciate the enthusiasm, the Overwatch team won't be attending E3 or announcing anything at the show this year."
