Ja, åtminstone sett till kostymdesignen eftersom den flerfaldigt Oscars-belönade ("costume designer") Ruth Carter helt enkelt beslutade sig för att basera Panterns svarta spandexdräkt på hur Clark ser ut i sin blå pyjamas i Man of Steel. Tydligen använde hon sig av samma typ av material i samma typ av lageruppbyggnad, något som framkom i helgen. Det var i en nygjord intervju med Inverse.com som Ruth sade såhär:
"When I observed Superman's suit and his texture, I could actually see the musculature underneath was silver. I thought this is fabulous for the Black Panther. We're gonna use that suit, make it 'vibranium,' because it needs to feel laced in vibranium and have luminosity. The muscles needed to have the highlights that the silver would give underneath." Link
