Kvinnor representeras inte alls lika mycket i spel eller film som män gör. Detta är något som Battlefield V fått utstå mycket kritik för. Och det är inte för att DICE inte har kvinnor i Battlefield V, utan för att de har kvinnor i spelet. Enligt ett gäng arga spelare så är det största "problemet" att kvinnor inte deltog i andra världskriget. Detta har gjort att EA-chefen Patrick Söderlund nu gått ut i en intervju gjord av Gamasutra och bemött kritiken:
"Battlefield V is a lot about the unseen, the untold, the unplayed. The common perception is that there were no women in World War II. There were a ton of women who both fought in World War II and partook in the war. And we don't take any flak. We stand up for the cause, because I think those people who don't understand it, well, you have two choices: either accept it or don't buy the game. I'm fine with either or."
