Pokémon: Let's Go Pikachu/Let's Go Eevee utannonserades strax innan E3 där vi sedan fick se en kort trailer i samband med Nintendos E3-presentation. Men även om det såklart är glädjande att det kommer ett spel i serien till Switch, så har det förekommit en del kritik mot att spelet är integrerat med Pokémon Go och att det dessutom är lite enklare utformat än vi är vana vid från serien. Nu har Game Freak kommenterat detta och ber om fansens förtroende.
Det är Pokémon Company-chefen Tsunekashu Ishihara som till Famitsu sade följande:
"Among those who have tried the game, some may feel that it has changed. However, we have been continuously changing the formula of the games since our inception, and in the end the players have accepted those changes.
In that sense, this time we are doing the same, but that is part of the long tradition of Game Freak and the Pokémon series. We will not go wrong with the basics, so please, trust us."
