Vi varnar härmed för potentiella spoilers, då det rör sig om en inofficiell video från den pågående inspelningen av Jon Favreau-serien The Mandalorian, en Star Wars-serie som ska sändas exklusivt till den nya streamingtjänsten Disney+. Tack vare Making Star Wars finns nu alltså en smygfilmad video från inspelningen av seriens säsongsfinal att tillgå, där vi kan se Taika Waititi, Favreau Dave Filoni gå igenom ett actionmoment som involverar minst två stormtrooper-soldater och vad som tydligen är en Mandalorian-figur på flykt.
Making Star Wars påstår sig även fått tag på storydetaljer från säsongsfinalen, men den läses alltså på egen risk - om detta nu ens visar sig stämma:
"The story takeaway is that by the end of the season, our Mando hero is taking the Remnant Empire on on the black lava world. Also not shown in the action moment are the Death Troopers who are involved in the sequence as it unfolds. Why is the Mando fighting the Empire? Is he trying to rescue someone? Was he hired or is it personal? I love the idea that we get to see this Mando fight the Empire and if he wins, he kind of wins his own war against the bad guys of classic Star Wars. It grows the universe instead of making it smaller. It doesn't mean the fight ended with Luke Skywalker and his friends. I have to say, if he does succeed, The First Order will likely pick up the vendetta against the Mando by the time Kylo Ren emerges to destroy the galaxy again."
Pedro Pascal och Gina Carano har i övrigt bekräftats medverka i Star Wars-serien, där Pascal spelar en ensam, Mandaloriansk revolverman. Bryce Dallas Howard medverkar i en mindre roll, samt regisserar, och Waititi kommer även att göra rösten för en droid-karaktär.Det finns ännu inga uppgifter om när serien, eller Disney Plus, får premiär.
