I åratal var det i det närmaste en sanning att Bend Studio arbetade på att återuppliva Sonys klassiska stealth/action-serie Syphon Filter, vilket hade sin storhetstid till Playstation och Playstation 2. Det visade sig dock vara Days Gone de jobbade på, men det betyder inte att loppet är kört.
I en intervju hos Eurogamer säger nämligen utvecklaren John Garvin såhär om att återuppliva serien:
"I really appreciate that question because I was a writer and a director on all the Syphon Filter games. I love Syphon Filter but man we have been so focused on Days Gone but when this thing ships and I can relax... I'll think about it. Never say never!"
