Så har Borderlands 3 nu officiellt fått premiärdatum bekräftat och det kommer att släppas den 13 september till PC, Playstation 4 och Xbox One. I och med detta har vi även fått en ny trailer att gotta oss åt som faktisktr visar upp lite gameplay. Gearbox-bossen Randy Pitchford kommenterar:
"For the past several years, the team at Gearbox Software has been devoting every ounce of our passion, creativity and love into making Borderlands 3 the biggest, baddest and most ambitious Borderlands adventure we've ever made. Borderlands 3 is being crafted not only as a love letter to fans of the series, but also as an ideal entry point for new players to jump-in alone or cooperatively, on or off-line, in the latest and greatest installment of the definitive best-in-class benchmark shooter-looter."
I spelet kommer vi, åtminstone initialt, få välja mellan fyra stycken Vault Hunters som alla har unika förmågor att lära sig liksom egenskaper och inställningsmöjligheter. Och givetvis kommer co-op fortfarande vara en central del av äventyret. En Gameplay Reveal Event-stream utlovas den 1 maj då vi ska få en närmare titt på allt detta.
Borderlands 3 har utvecklats tillsammans med AMD för att dra extra mycket nytta av deras Radeon-grafikkort och Ryzen-processorer. 2K-chefen David Ismailer förklarar samarbetet:
"The PC gaming community has been an important part of the success of the Borderlands series, and we are excited to be partnering with Epic who recognize its worldwide popularity and share in our commitment to bring Borderlands 3 to this rapidly expanding audience. Our mission, in addition to delivering the most engaging and captivating entertainment experiences, is to embrace new distribution platforms that will contribute to our effort to grow the audience for Borderlands 3."
Som väntat vankas flera utgåvor av spelet, däribland Standard Edition som är grundutgåvan, och genom att förhandsboka den får du guld-skins till dina vapen, medan Deluxe Edition utöver allt detta även ger:

Dessutom finns en Super Deluxe Edition som dessutom innehåller Season Pass (fyra DLC-kampanjer med ny story, uppdrag och utmaningar) samt ett Butt Stallion-skin till dina vapen, en utsmyckning och en granat-mod.
