Blizzard har redan tidigare flaggat för att Blizzcon 2020 har varit osäkert, och sagt att det varit "too early to know whether Blizzcon 2020 will be feasible". Nu har de dock bestämt sig, och det är inte glada nyheter. På sin hemsida skriver de:
"Ultimately, after considering our options, we've come to the very difficult decision to not have Blizzcon this year."
Just nu undersöker de alternativa sätt att "channel the BlizzCon spirit and connect with you in some way online, far less impacted by the state of health and safety protocols for mass in-person gatherings". Men om de lyckas ro ihop detta, så kommer de inte hinna köra eventet under hösten som normalt utan påpekar att "it will most likely be sometime early next year".
