Skådespelaren Charles Dance som spelade den lika älskade som hatade Tywin Lannister i Game of Thrones TV-serien har nu tillkännagivet att han precis som många av oss andra skarpt ogillade hur David och Dan hanterade den sista säsongen. I en intervju med Pop Culture erkände han sitt missnöje och besvikelse kring hur Game of Thrones knöts ihop samt nämnde att han hade varit villig att skriva under en ansökan om att få hela sista säsongen omskriven och filmad på nytt.
"Well if there was a petition, I would sign it. I mean, I saw it. I continue to watch the whole series even after I'd been killed off in the lavatory. Because I just thought it's a fantastic television show, you know? I was very lucky to be part of it. I loved it; there were storylines [where] I wanted to know what was going to happen to these people! I know that the finale satisfied a lot of people. It also disappointed a lot of people, and I'm afraid I am in the latter camp. I think David and Dan raised the bar when it came to television screenplay writing. They are phenomenal. And for the whole thing to end up as a committee, I just thought, 'Hmm, no.' I would say I was somewhat underwhelmed by."
Det är nu lite mer än ett år sedan serien avslutades och chansen att vi få se en nyversion av sista säsongen känns högst osannolik och hade inte varit annat än ett smärre mirakel. Men när nu Snyders nyversion av Justice League faktiskt blir av så kanske det på nytt väcker förhoppningar i hjärtat på Game of Thrones fans runt om i världen.
