It is the largest sponsorship agreement Riot has ever signed for an esports league.

Riot has announced that it has signed the largest sponsorship deal for an esports league in its history with a seven year partnership with cryptocurrency exchange, FTX. The deal has seen FTX branding pop up on the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) broadcast, which targets the valuable in-game currency for the title: gold.

The deal will also see FTX directly sponsor the LCS Most Improved Player Award, which is set to be voted on and awarded by various media, team representatives, and other Riot members.

While there has been no mention of how much the deal itself is worth, we are told that the partnership was created due to a direct interest in cryptocurrency in the LCS audience.
