It's not very often someone gets to remain in professional esports for over a decade, so when it was announced that Kim "glow" Min-soo would in fact be retiring after over 13 years of competing, we did become a little sad.
First revealed in a tweet by the Vision Strikers Valorant organisation (the last team Glow played for), the announcement for Glow's retirement read as follows:
"To a paragon and an icon of competitive FPS, today, we give @glowkr a heartfelt farewell, as he officially retires from professional play.
13 years. 100+ events. 30+ Championships.
And countless memories.
To our Captain and friend, thank you glow."
Glow has played both in Valorant as of late, but also in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive for over a decade. As we mentioned above, he was most recently credited for his time on the Vision Strikers line-up, but before, during his CS:GO days, he last played for MVP PK, and even won several A and B-tier events under the roster.
