Rollspelet Ashen, som utvecklas av Aurora44, visades upp under årets E3 som ett av de kommande spel som släpps till Xbox Game Pass samtidigt som det har premiär. Vi ville veta mer om hur tankegångarna går inför detta och snackade därför med game director Derek Bradley om saken. Han sade bland annat:
"Yeah, you know it's really interesting because as a creator of a game you can market your game to like a core audience, but having that immediate wider player base means that a whole bunch of other people can find your game and get into it. And Ashen on purpose has taken what is quite traditionally a grueling, stamina-based combat genre and added very tight co-op things to it, which is a lot more like games like Journey you could say, where people can come along and help each other out on purpose."
Bradley menade att Game Pass snarast hjälper dem att nå ut med sitt spel och fortsatte:
"And so I feel like it's gonna get hold of some people who we didn't expect would be that into it, which is exciting for us [...] because a lot of the stuff we do doesn't just boil down to the combat systems and all that sort of stuff. A lot of it is we put a lot of time into world building, story crafting, all that kind of stuff, and the more people that can see that and that it can potentially resonate with is quite amazing to us, and Game Pass helps to make that happen of course."
