Författaren Kurt Busiek och illustratören John Paul Leon är på ingång med en ny serietidning med Batman i fokus. Men den nya serien Batman: Creature of the Night kommer däremot inte att handla om Bruce Wayne. Den kommer faktiskt inte att utspelas i DC:s serievärld överhuvudtaget. Istället så kommer vi att få följa den unga Batman-fanboyen Bruce Wainwright, från Boston, och hans liv efter att hans föräldrar blivit mördade i en liknande händelse som förvandlade Bruce Wayne till Batman.
Creature of the Night kommer alltså att bli ett typ av komplement till Busieks hyllade serietidning Superman: Secret Identity. En serietidning som utspelades i vår värld och som handlade om en ung man, vid namn Clark Kent, som en dag vaknade upp med samma krafter som Superman.
Precis som med Secret Identity så kommer Creature of the Night att bestå av fyra nummer. Däremot så kan vi nog räkna med att den nya berättelsen kommer att vara betydligt mer tragisk och mörk nu när det handlar om en pojke som tvingas vandra i Batmans fotspår.
Det första numret av Batman: Creature of the Night släpps den 29:e November.
