Medan fjolårsspelet Black Ops 6 ägde rum 1991 hoppar Treyarch hela vägen till 2035 i uppföljaren som precis visades upp under Xbox Game Showcase 2025. Det är Black Ops II-bödeln David "Section" Mason som återigen spelar huvudrollen här och han har ett helt nytt utseende här, och verkar inte heller ha åldrats under de 40 (!) år som passerat.
