Coronaviruset har som bekant även nått Sverige, även om vi hittills är relativt förskonade. Utöver de mänskliga tragedierna med dödsfall, har detta även märkts på andra områden såsom i spelvärlden där bland annat flera stora event tvingats ställa in eller bantas senaste tiden.
Nu säger den i spelvärlden kände Niko Partners-analytikern Daniel Ahmad till The Hollywood Reporter att det finns risk att coronaviruset potentiellt kan försena Playstation 5 och/eller Xbox Series X om det fortsätter växa:
"If the coronavirus outbreak is contained within the next month or two then we would expect console manufacturers to be able to meet the demand for the holiday quarter, both for current-gen consoles and next-gen console launches. If manufacturers are unable to operate at full capacity before the end of Q2 2020, we could see an impact on next-gen console launches, with either limited supply or delayed releases becoming the likely outcomes."
Ahmad tror heller inte att årets höjdpunkt i spelvärlden, E3-mässan, kommer att drabbas av coronaviruset i någon större omfattning utan att mässan körs som planerat.
