DC Comics Earth One-lineup, som ger författare fria händer att skriva ihop nya grundberättelser med deras klassiska hjältar, har lyckats bjuda på riktigt intressanta serier genom åren (med hjältar såsom Batman och Superman). Och i mars nästa år så är det dags för nästa hjälte att debutera med en ny Earth One-serie. Hal Jordan aka Green Lantern.
I serieboken Green Lantern: Earth One Vol. 1 så kommer vi att få följa astronauten Hal Jordan när han hittar en av ringarna från den utdöda gruppen The Green Lantern Corps. Det här blir starten på en resa där han bestämmer sig för att återuppbygga rymdgruppen igen. Serien kommer att skrivas och tecknas av trion Corinna Bechko, Gabriel Hardman och Jordan Boyd. Och gruppen har redan avslöjat lite blandad info om deras nya serie:
"Approaching this as an Earth One story gives us the opportunity to go back to the core concept of Green Lantern and interpret it through the lens of a modern, grounded sci-fi story while still being true to the Silver Age roots of Hal Jordan. Having storyboarded Interstellar, this is an approach I'm comfortable with and have wanted to explore in comics. Realistic sci-fi is only the beginning of this story; we have something more epic in store." - Gabriel Hardman
"Hal Jordan is a smart, capable person with a space and science background who has a lot of untapped potential even before he finds the ring. That means he's going to approach everything the ring does from the perspective of a scientist, but he's going to employ it for action and adventure.
