Det var nog många som höjde oroade ögonbryn när ordentligt barnförbjudna filmfranchiser hamnade i Disneys händer efter det historiska uppköpet av Fox-tillgångarna och frågan är om Deadpool tvingas sy ihop sin uppkäftiga mun igen under Disneys styre. Deadpool 2-regissören David Leitch är dock positiv till att man kan nå en rimlig kompromiss kring åldersmärkningen:
"It's rated R so that's not necessarily the [MCU] brand but he doesn't necessarily need to be R and [Disney] don't necessarily need to only make PG-13 movies. I think we'll find a happy ground."
Deadpool var ju frånvarande när Kevin Feige presenterade sina planer för Fas 4 i MCU:s filmuniversum, men att karaktären inte har glömts bort:
"There's a lot of mystery still surrounding what they want to do with Deadpool in [Disney's] Marvel world but I think, from discussions that I've heard, it's all positive... I think that they're just trying to figure a way in."
