Under den senaste månaden har vi bland annat fått se Volition läggas ned och Crystal Dynamics, (studion bakom den senaste Tomb Raider-trilogin och det kommande Perfect Dark) säga upp personal. Och det verkar tyvärr som att denna trista period av studiostängningar och människor som förlorar sina jobb inte är helt över ännu.
På Embracers årsstämma talade VD Lars Wingefors om omstruktureringen och uppgav att det är en pågående process. Han sade följande:

Det finns också en möjlighet att vissa av Embracers tillgångar, såsom Gearbox, kan komma att sälja. Wingefors verkade dock undvika det ämnet och ville varken säga bu eller bä.
"There is a strong, vibrant market with many, many active players - both financial sponsors and big industry players. But it's easier to run proper processes for, I would say, more high-value assets than smaller assets."
Förhoppningsvis blir det inte alltför många människor som påverkas av den här processen, och för de som drabbas håller vi tummarna för en mjuklandning och nya tjänster så snart som möjligt.
