Sony-ägda Polyhony Digital och den italienska smyckesjätten Bulgari har utannonserat ett samarbete som resulterat i Gran Turismo-dressade specielversioner av Bulgaris traditionella "Alu Chronograph" med gul/svarta detaljer och ett särskilt armband. I samma veva har Bulgaris designers även satt ihop en fantasibil till spelet som en del av designprogrammet Vision Gran Turismo. Klockan kommer att tillverkas i 1200 exemplar (per färgkombination) och kostar 54 000 kronor.

"It all started with car designer Fabio Filippini. In 2017, we announced the Fittipaldi EF7 Vision Gran Turismo by Pininfarina, and Fabio, who was working as design director at the time, designed it. "I published a book called 'CURVE - 15 Lessons in Car Design,'" says Filippini. Mr. Fabrizio happened to pick up the book and really liked it, so he contacted Mr. Fabio. The two of them got excited, and the project that came about was Bulgari's VGT. If we were going to make it with Bulgari, it would be scheduled exactly for the 10th anniversary. I started not only making VGTs, but also making watches.
Regarding the completed concept car Bulgari Aluminium VGT, Mr. Yamauchi said, "The proportions are wonderful. The ratio of various things is really perfect. The division that consists of only straight lines and circular arcs is new as a car design, and it is reminiscent of the Italian design of the 1970s. It's a beauty that you don't really find in cars these days. The fact that it incorporates that beauty is what I really like about it.''
