Eidos Montreal lade under kvällen upp ett blogginlägg på sin hemsida döpt till Future Vision for Deus Ex. I det slår David Anfossi (studiochef) fast vad de har för framtida planer för Deus Ex-serien. Såhär beskriver han sina planer för Deus Ex Universe - "...an ongoing, expanding and connected game world built across a generation of core games" and he also confirmed a next-gen Deus Ex title that's in the works."
Namnet Deus Ex Universe är inte titeln på ett spel, utan samlingsnamnet för alla Deus Ex-produkter. Anfossi fortsätter med att skriva: "Deus Ex: Universe will include PC and console games, but also additional Deus Ex games and experiences available in other media such as tablets, smartphones, books, graphic novels, etc."
Anfossi avslutar med att för första gången nämna att Deus Ex ska komma till nästa generations konsoler samt även bjussa på en bild: "I want to leave you with a piece of concept art from our next-gen Deus Ex game that shows trans-humanism segregation, which is a backdrop to our vision for the next Deus Ex. It represents a "ghetto-city' voluntarily built in order to separate the classes. The people in this segregated class have reshaped their environment, nostalgic for their ideal of Cyber Renaissance. This dark and dystopian vision sets the tone for things to come in Deus Ex."
Spännande såklart, och har du inte hunnit bekanta dig med den senaste delen i serien ännu, så kommer Deus Ex: Human Revolution i en Director's Cut-utgåva till PC, Playstation 3, Wii U och Xbox 360 den 25 oktober.
