Kotaku har fått höra från EA att Bioware-titeln Dragon Age: Inquisition inte kommer att släppas i Indien. Orsaken är Indiens något godtyckliga sedlighetslagar, som EA nu alltså bestämt sig för att inte utmana.
Som många av er säkerligen vet brukar Biowares rollspel innehålla sin beskärda del vuxenmys och gott om hud, vilket alltså nu fått EA att tycka att det kan ha blivit lite för mycket i just Dragon Age: Inquisition. Såhär sade de till Kotaku:
"In order to avoid a breach of local content laws, EA has withdrawn Dragon Age: Inquisition from sale in India and the game is no longer available for pre-order. Customers who pre-ordered the game will be contacted directly and will be fully refunded.
The decision here is in relation to local obscenity laws, but not specific to same gender romance."
EA menar alltså att det inte är gay-relationer som är orsaken till beslutet utan pekar istället på motiveringen från den amerikanska motsvarigheten till PEGI, nämligen ESBR:
"The game includes some sexual material: a female character briefly depicted in front of a man's torso (fellatio is implied); characters depicted topless or with exposed buttocks while lying in bed or after sex; some dialogue referencing sex/sexuality."
