Det har gått ett år sedan EA lanserade sin tjänst EA Access till Xbox One, med vilken användarna genom en avgift på 249 kronor per år (eller 40,50 kronor per månad) fritt kan få ladda ner och spela hyggligt nya storspel (som EA Sports UFC, Dragon Age: Inquisition och Titanfall).
Enligt EA har tjänsten blivit en stor succé, men trots det har Sony varit kallsinniga. De vill inte ha EA Access till Playstation 4 och en representant för företaget antydde rent av att det var dåligt värde för pengarna:
"We don't think asking our fans to pay an additional $5 a month for this EA-specific program represents good value to the PlayStation gamer."
Gamespot har fått chansen att intervjua EA-bossen Peter Moore, och passade på att fråga om de inte är sugna på att lansera EA Access till Playstation 4:
"Doesn't matter. It's on Xbox One, and those customers love it. We have analytics on everything these days, and subscriber satisfaction rates are through the roof. EA Access customers get to play more, because of the Vault, they get to play early, ahead of general release date, and they get to pay less because of the discounts it offers."
Trots försök att press Moore på mer information vägrar han gå djupare i ämnet, men tillägger:
"Well Sony talked about it, ask them [laughs]. There's not much left for me to say."
Det låter inte att EA Access lär släppas till Playstation 4 den närmsta tiden och att det fortfarande är Sony som stoppar det.
