En animerad serie om Darth Maul dyker upp på Disney+ nästa år

Nyheterna från pågående Star Wars Celebration i Tokyo fortsätter att rulla in. Nu har det bekräftats att en animerad TV-serie med Darth Maul kommer till Disney+ under 2026.

Maul - Shadow Lord är titeln och rösten till Maul kommer att göras av Sam Witwer. Han har sedan tidigare gjort den Clone Wars och Rebels. Särskilt mycket kring handlingen vet vi dock inte men Athena Portillo från Lucasfilms animationsavdelning hade följande att säga: "Unfortunately I can't tell you too much, but what I can say is Sam Witwer's involvement in the show has been pristine. I'm very excited about him being able to review the scripts and provide input in all of that as well. Dave Filoni and Sam created the character for animation, and so it's very important to hear his thoughts as well for the character depth."

Serien kommer att utspela sig drygt ett år efter Clone Wars.

"We learn some different things about this character. He's got some different traits that you wouldn't necessarily think he has that make perfect sense from what he's been through", sade Sam Witwer kring det hela.

Serien kommer att dyka upp på Disney+ under 2026.
