Crytek, makers of games like Crysis and the free-to-play shooter Warface, are making an esports push with the latter title. They've teamed up with ESL to launch the Go4Warface series of online tournaments.

As the latest game to join ESL's long-running series of Go4 events, the Go4Warface tournaments will be open to anyone wanting to compete, and entry into the tournaments will be free.

The series will dole out a combined prize pool of €10,000. Here's the official word:

The Go4Warface tournament series will launch with a prize pool of over €10,000, which will grow over time. Players will join together in teams to compete in weekly tournaments with €100 prize money up for grabs, and the eight top-performing teams will become eligible for a monthly final tournament with a prize pot of €500.

The first tournament in the Go4Warface series kicks off on August 7. Stop by the ESL Warface website for more details.
