Danish esports organisation North has announced on Twitter that they have signed CS:GO player Markus 'Kjaerbye' Kjærbye from fellow Danish side Astralis, which makes sense considering both René 'cajunb' Borg and Kristian 'K0nfig' Wienecke had been benched from the team as part of a major shakeup.

The circumstances around the transfer have caught arguably more news than the transfer itself, though, as Astralis player Lukas 'gla1ve' Rossander tweeted: "Less than 2 hours before the press conference, we found out Kjaerbye has signed with North. Speechless. And more motivated than ever!"

Fellow Astralis man Peter 'dupreeh' Rothmann also said: "Nothing but disappointed", although Nicolai 'dev1ce' Reedtz was a little more positive when he tweeted: "I've had a lot of great moments with Markus and I will always enjoy his company whether it's on the server or out shopping. I hope you will find happiness at @TheNorthIsHere ! Much love even though the circumstances from me."

Do you think this is a good signing for North?
