Final Fantasy gästspelar i Magic The Gathering nästa sommar

Wizards of the Coast låter meddela att nästa Universes Beyond-set till Magic The Gathering blir Final Fantasy. Setet, som består av inslag från allt Final Fantasy-relaterat Square Enix släppt genom åren, släpps den 13 juni 2025. Shoichi Ichikawa, producent för Final Fantasy-serien, kommenterar samarbetet:

"At Square Enix, we are always looking for new ways to breathe life into the rich lore and legacy of Final Fantasy. This collaboration is important to us because it allows us to merge the immersive storytelling of Final Fantasy with the fun strategic gameplay of Magic: The Gathering, something that will appeal to fans of both franchises."

Utöver Final Fantasy-setet visade MTG även upp nyheter om det kommande Foundations-setet, som släpps den 15 november. Foundations innehåller legender och Planeswalkers från hela Magics 30-åriga historia. Dessutom kommer alla kort i uppsättningen vara godkända för tävlingsspel fram till minst 2029, så om du är en vanlig spelare bör du inte missa den här möjligheten.

Det finns gott om samarbeten planerade till 2025 i Magic: The Gathering, och förutom Final Fantasy vankas även en Spider-Man-uppsättning och en Universes Beyond-uppsättning som ännu inte har presenterats.
