Games Done Quick is an event where speedrunners get together to try and beat the records for a number of games, with donations coming in from streamed attempts, and now the official Twitter account has revealed that the latest installment has raised no less than $2,394,668 USD.

Super Mario Odyssey was one of the games with records being attempted, but we also saw a Super Metroid Reverse Boss Order run, Bloodborne, A Link to the Past, Dark Souls III, and more.

It wasn't an event without controversy though, as Dot Esports reported that one Zelda speedrunner cdgexe had been banned for a sexual harassment claim, as revealed on Twitter.

Regardless though, Games Done Quick was still a successful event with a lot of enthusiasm around it, and from June 23 to 30 you can see this return to Bloomington, Minnesota.
