Vi fick chansen att prata med Oculus VR-grundaren Palmer Luckey och vice president of product Nate Mitchell för att få veta mer om hur det går för dem, vad som finns kvar för virtual reality att bevisa och hur de tycker det gått för Oculus hittills. Bland annat sade Luckey:
"We're basically still a start up, that has hired a bunch of people and has a lot of resources and hasn't launched a consumer product yet. But I do think we're on the track to do something that's really big in the games industry, that will make a difference in how people play games."
Facebook köpte som bekant nyligen upp Oculus och det ger såklart helt nya resurser och möjligheter. Något vi frågade om, varpå Luckey svarade:
"I don't think it's actually changed what we want to do, but there were a lot of things that we wanted to do that we could not, and now we can".
Vi passade även på att fråga om vad de tycker om konkurrenten Sonys satsning på deras Project Morpheus och vad som måste till för att de ska lyckas:
"If they do decide to invest in it and make it something that is actually a core part of their strategy the it's a good thing. Because VR will have more people in it, there will be more people making games. And the more people that get into VR, the better, because all of us are going to benefit as a result."
